Building Greatness was founded on the idea that every child has the ability to learn new skills. We specialize in providing Applied Behavior Therapy for individuals who may be diagnosed with the following: Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Anxiety, Developmental Delay, Downs Syndrome, Dyslexia, Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD), Pervasive Development Disorder (PDD), Speech Delay, Mood Disorders, and Tourettes.
Behavior therapy is not only for individuals who suffer from a disorder, but anyone who is exerting negative or unwanted behaviors.
Behavior therapy concentrates on the current problem or behavior and attempts to remove the behavior that is unwanted. Behavior therapies are based on the idea of classical conditioning.
Highly trained staff will provide clients with intensive therapy based on the client's Individualized Treatment Plan and Behavior Intervention Plan. The style of prompting will be based on the child's needs and ability to learn. The clients programming will be based on the clients skills and struggles.
We pride ourselves on treating the client's and families as a whole unit. Therapy styles and behavior management are taught to the people who are surrounding themselves with the client on a day to day basis. It is very important to have consistency. We work with families to understand what ABA is and the techniques we use in working with the clients. When our staff is not around, we want the families to have the confidence and the tools to be able to appropriately handle behaviors that may arise.
